Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, also known as Makassar Airport, is an airport in Makassar (a city formerly known as Ujung Pandang), the capital of Sulawesi Island. It is situated 20 km northeast of Makassar city center. Namely, the airport is among Indonesia’s top busiest airports and the main gateway for flights to Eastern Indonesia.
