Airports in Minnesota

Minnesota has eight airports offering commercial flights. However, the majority of air traffic is centered around Minneapolis Airport, which handles the most passengers. Other airports are classified as a small hub and nonhub USA airports. American Eagle, Delta Air Lines and low-cost Allegiant Air are the most common airlines at these smaller airports. Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport is a large US airport located about 16 km from Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is the busiest airport in Minnesota and the whole Upper Midwest region. Airport, also known as Wold–Chamberlain Field, is the major hub for Delta and low-cost Sun Country Airlines. 2 large terminals welcome millions of passengers each year. Currently, Denver and Chicago are the busiest destinations from MSP Airport. However, some international cities also bring significant air traffic. Metro Transit and Light Rail Transit offer public transport from and to the airport. Of course, taxis and shuttles are also on site.
