Airports in Massachusetts

Massachusetts has eight airports offering year round commercial and charter flights. Out of those eight, Boston Airport is the only one with significant traffic compared to other USA airports. It handles the majority of international flights to Massachusetts. Other Massachusetts airports are focused mostly on regional and domestic seasonal routes. Cape Air, jetBlue, American Eagle and Delta Connection are just some of the airlines serving these airports. Boston Logan International Airport – IATA Code – BOS (~ 42.5 M Passengers)

Boston International Airport is the largest airport in the New England Area and one of the top 20 busiest US airports. Airport is located in Eastern Boston, some 3 km from the city center. It has four huge terminals, servicing passengers from dozens of airlines. As for the airlines, Delta, Cape Air and low-cost jetBlue use Logan airport as a major hub for flights. Airport is named after General Edward Lawrence Logan, a Boston war hero. Today, BOS airport has hundreds of non-stop flights, with Atlanta, Chicago and London being top destinations. Getting to and from the airport is possible by: subway, public buses, taxis, shuttles and even ferries.
