Jakarta Airport offers a shuttle bus service as well as a Skytrain shuttle service (Automated People Mover System). They connect Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Bus

You will find several bus companies at the airport, including the state-owned DAMRI. They are located just outside the arrival halls of Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Although the buses are the cheapest option, the journey from the airport to the city lasts around 2 hours so taxis and trains are a preferred option.

Train

The free shuttle bus service and Skytrain service connect the terminals with the train station. The journey to the city centre takes about 50 minutes and costs about € 4,50. Tickets can be purchased from the automatic ticket machines at the station or online. 

Taxi

The taxi rank is located just outside the Arrivals Hall of Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Taxis are available 24/7. The journey usually lasts around 45 minutes. However, it depends on the traffic. The price is around € 13 without any toll fees so it is advisable to agree on the price beforehand. 

In addition, if you want a fixed price you can book a prepaid taxi in one of the kiosks located in the Arrivals Hall. 

Car rental

For those who prefer to explore the area on their own and don’t want to depend on taxis and public transfer, the best option is to hire a car directly at the airport. At CGK Airport, you will find several rental agencies including Avis and TRAC. The easier option is to also rent a car online and avoid potential queues.

Transfer

Lastly, if you prefer convenient online ways of booking transport in advance, a door-to-door transfer is a great option. A professional driver will wait and welcome you at the airport when you arrive and take you directly to your accommodation in the city.
