Have you ever thought you’d get to see the entire world in one place? Well, it’s possible!
And you even don’t have to travel across the world to see it. You just need to visit Klagenfurt in Austria which will win you over for sure because there you’ll have the opportunity to see Minimundus, a miniature park with world’s most important attractions in a reduced form!
With 176 architectural wonders made at 1:25, Minimundus gives its visitors the unique opportunity to travel around the world without spending a dime on flight tickets, stressing about expensive admission fees or something else. Since its opening in 1958 the park has become one of the most visited parks of its kind in Europe and every year more than 15 million people come to enjoy the miniatures. It extends over 26 000 square metres and it is located on the Lake Wörthersee. Once there, check out the mini versions of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Basilica of St. Peter in Rome, the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Tower Bridge in London, the Opera House in Sydney and other world’s attractions. The park consists of two parts: the open one with 156 models and the closed one with another 20.
It’s a special joy to visit Minimundus in spring, when the park shines to the fullest and is full of colorful flowers and greenery. It’s not less special in the closed area as well, because the space is imaginatively decorated providing the visitors with interesting information on exposed models accompanied by effects especially designed for children. The park is very well constructed, so you can experience bird’s or frog’s perspective, space shuttle, steam locomotive, sailing boat and other.
In the 1,500 m² indoor adventure world, visitors can enjoy exciting 4D cinema, a ride in a Mini Cooper, interactive globes for grown-ups and children, the cartoon station, the selfie station, a huge slide, the The “Wheel of Time” where you can find out more about the various buildings in the world and so much more.
