  • Buses from the main bus station to the airport run every 30 minutes from 04:30 (05:00 on weekends) to 21:30 hours

Local bus

The only one you could use is nr. 290 which connects Velika Gorica, airport and Kvaternikov trg (Kvaternik Square in the center). The bus runs every 35 minutes with the first departure at 4:20 on weekdays and 5:20 on Sunday from Kvaternik Square, the last departure from Velika Gorica is at 00:15. The journey takes at least 30 minutes.

Taxi

It is possible to use taxi services from the airport, there is a taxi stand in front of the airport building. It is recommended to agree on the price with the driver before the ride. Expect to pay around 150 HRK (20€).

Transfer

      You can catch local bus 290 which runs every 30 minutes until 00:15. It departs from Velika Gorica, stops at Zagreb Airport and then continues to Zagreb. Exit at Heinzlova stop in Zagreb and then transfer to tram line 2 to reach the main bus station.

      Well, there are two options. You can either take the shuttle bus from the airport to the central bus station and then grab a tram number 6 or 7 to get to the hotel or you can take a taxi from the airport directly to the hotel.

    The following day we are required to get to Opatjita cruise port to get our cruise. Please advise how to get there or is it better to get a hotel for the night in Opatjita.

      It’s better to go directly from Zagreb to Opatija and then spend night there, just to be on the safe side (in case of possible traffic jams, etc.).       after 7:30 pm, the shuttle bus operates according to the scheduled flights, so you should be able to catch a bus to Zagreb.
      Yes, there are many places to eat at the airport, but you can also find great options once you arrive at the central Zagreb bus station.
      As your bus to Plitvice is early in the morning, I suggest you find accommodation near the bus station in Zagreb.
