Among different approaches to making a list of the most popular Instagram locations in Serbia, we have decided to pick sights instead of cities. As a result, you will find Niš Fortress instead of Niš City on the list. Finding sights was done with the help of Google Travel service. To define the most popular ones, we used Google reviews. However, we only considered the attractions with more than 100 reviews.
The next thing was collecting the number of Instagram mentions in both the native language and English. The number of mentions was collected in July 2023, so the numbers will naturally increase as time passes. Lastly, we sorted the locations according to the number of mentions and got our final list of the 50 most popular Instagram locations in Serbia.
