Berlin Brandenburg Airport Bus

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is the new international airport serving Berlin, Germany. In 2020, the airport replaced Schonefeld, Tegel and Tempelhof airport becoming a single commercial airport serving Berlin. How to get from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Berlin

Bus

There are express bus lines operating from the airport to different parts of Berlin:

  • Bus X7 takes you to the Rudow station and U7 subway.
  • Bus X71 takes you Alt Mariendorf via Rudow.
  • Bus X11 takes you to Lichterfelde-West and to Dahlem. 

Buses depart every 5-20 minutes and the price starts at around €2.5.

There are two more bus lines BER1 and BER2 that connect the airport with Rathaus Steglitz and Potsdam main station. These buses require a surcharge of about €8 along with a regular public transport ticket.

  • Bus 163: Schöneweide – Adlershof – Grünau – BER
  • Bus 164: Köpenick – Adlershof – BER 
  • Bus 171: Hermannplatz – Sonnenallee – Neukölln – Grenzallee – Rudow – BER

  • Bus 735: Königs Wusterhausen – A10 Center – Wildau –  BER
  • Bus 736: Königs Wusterhausen – Wildau – BER
  • Bus 743: Lichtenrade – Waßmannsdorf – BER
  • Bus 744: Gesundheitszentrum – Lipschitzallee – Großziethen – Rudow – BER

Train

Berlin Brandenburg Airport has its own railway station called Flughafen BER – Terminal 1-2. Also, Flughafen BER – Terminal 5 station that previously served Schonefeld Airport now serves Terminal 5. 

Train line S9 operates from the airport to Spandau, via Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Train line S45 connects to Sudkreuz. 

Other train lines that currently operate the airport include:

  • IC 17: Dresden – BER – Berlin – Rostock – Warnemünde
  • FEX: Berlin Hauptbahnhof – Berlin Gesundbrunnen – Berlin Ostkreuz – BER
  • RE 7: Dessau – Bad Belzig – Michendorf – Berlin – BER – Wünsdorf-Waldstadt
  • RB 14: Nauen – Falkensee – Berlin – BER – Königs Wusterhausen – Senftenberg
  • RB 22: (Berlin Friedrichstraße –) Potsdam – Golm – Saarmund – BER

Taxi

If you prefer a more comfortable ride and don’t like using public transport, taking a taxi might be an option. At Berlin Brandenburg airport, you will find taxi ranks at Terminal 1 and 5. The approximate price for a ride to Berlin is up to €50. 

Transfer
