Buying a return ticket

This document explains in detail how to purchase a return (Two way) bus ticket on our website Getbybus.com (If you are reading this on a mobile phone or tablet, the illustrations shown in this post will look differently on your device, but the principle will be the same)

On the home page of Getbybus.com, which looks like image 1 below, you have to do the following.

  1. Select departure station – (where you wish to travel from)
  2. Select destination station – (where you wish to travel to)
  3. Select travel date – (for your outbound trip)
  4. Select travel date – (for your returning trip)
  5. Choose the number of passengers (by the categories shown in the Image 1)
  6. Press “SEARCH”

The website will now list possible departures for your outbound trip. You can easily see departures on other dates, by using the date picker just above the search result, once you have picked the right travel date you can continue to the next step.

Once you have selected the outbound route, you will notice lines from the same operator are marked with blue colour in the column with the return routes (See image 3 below), these return departures from the same company usually have a special low price. You can obviously pick any of the departures in the return routes section.

Once you have decided which return route to take, you just have to click on the route, this route will now expand like the outgoing route did when you clicked on it, here the same principle applies, additional information is displayed below the route. Once you are satisfied with your pick, just click on BUY TICKET.

From here on the buying procedure is more or less the same as when you buy a single ticket, so you can read about the next steps here.

      Bonjour Nana,

Hi what bus do I need to get to get to from Palermo airport to Via Antonio Gagini, Palermo? What stop do I need to get off at.
    Many thanks

    • Maja

      Hi Win,

there are more options but here are the most convenient ones.
You can take a shuttle bus to Via Liberta Don Bosco station and then switch to a bus no. 101 (exit on station Roma – Poste).
The other, slightly loner route is taking a train from the airport to Palermo Centrale, then switching to a bus no. 101 and exit on Roma – Poste.
You can also read more about transportation from Palermo Airport here.

Hi! I and my group need to get to Bonner Strasse 42, Holthausen. which transport and ticket should we choose? we plan to stay in Düsseldorf for four days and use public transport all days. is it possible to buy one ticket for different transports for all days?

    • Liza

arrival is planned from Dusseldorf Airport to Bonner Strasse

      • Marija Štrljić

        Hi Liza,

you should take the S11 to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, then transfer to the U74 or U77 to Holthausen station. The DüsseldorfCard covers this journey and can be purchased online, at the airport, or at tourist offices.

        Best,
        Marija, GetByBus Team
