Malmö Airport Bus
Malmö Airport (MMX), formerly known as Sturup Airport, is international airport of the third largest city in Sweden, Malmo. The airport is located in Svedala Municipality, approximately 28 km east of the city center. It is the fourth busiest airport in Sweden in terms of passenger traffic. Malmö Airport is a small airport with regular flights only to Stockholm and low-cost flights on Wizz Air to several airports in central and eastern Europe.
How to get from Malmo Airport to Malmo
Airport bus
Buses of Flygbussarna run between Malmö Airport and the main railway station of Malmö (Centralstation). In Malmö, the shuttle bus makes several stops, the stop in the city centre is named Studentgatan. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. From Sunday until Friday the bus departs at least once an hour to and from the city. Yet, on Saturdays the bus runs less frequently. Check timetable for exact departure times.

Taxi Service
For those who prefer a more relaxed and comfortable type of transfer, a taxi may be a good option. Taxis are available directly outside the terminal. Free price setting applies to taxi rides in Sweden since the taxi market is deregulated. So there is no need to take the car that is first in line, choose the company that best suits you. An average taxi fare to the city center will cost you around 550 SEK (53€) and it will take you up to 25 minutes.
Transfer
If you are not comfortable with regular taxis, maybe you should book door-to-door transfer which will wait for you at the airport. Do the booking on time, so you don’t wait a lot when you arrive at the airport.
Renting a car at Malmö Airport
For those who would prefer to reach the city and explore the area on their own, the best option is to rent a car. If you want your car waiting for you when you arrive at the airport, then hurry up and book it online. But if you want to do it on the spot you can rent it at one of six car rental offices, like Budget or Europcar, which are located next to multi-storey car park.

Considering the fact that you can reach the city only by shuttle bus which operates only until 20:20, it is a bit tricky to get to Malmö. However, don’t worry because taxis are always available, although you will probably have to pay more than planned.
