St John’s Airport is the busiest airport in Newfoundland, the airport is located on the Avelon peninsula about 8 km north of St John’s. The airport has year round flights to Toronto, Halifax, Saint-Pierre, Deer Lake and several other domestic destinations, during summer season several international destinations are available from the airport. Airlines operating from the airport include Air Canada, Air Canada Express & Pal Airlines. Getting to and from the airport can be done by Metrobus route number 14.
Deer Lake Regional Airport – IATA Code – YDF (~ 0.3 M passengers)
The Deer Lake airport is located on the west side of Newfoundland approximately 5 km from the center of Deer Lake, from the airport there is year round flights to St. Johns, Toronto, Halifax as well as a few other domestic destinations, during summer season there are flights to Cuba and Dominican republic. Airlines operating from the airport include Air Canada Express, Air Canada Rouge, Pal Airlines. There is no scheduled transportation between the airport and the city.
Gander International Airport – IATA Code – YQX (~ 0.2 M passengers)
The Gander Airport is the 3rd most important airport in Newfoundland, it is located about 3 km southeast of Gander town center. Air Canada Express and PAL airlines operates whole year round flights to Goose Bay, Halifax, St. John’s and Wabush. During the summer season there are flights to Halifax, Toronto and Varadero, operated by Sunwing Airlines and WestJet Encore. There is no scheduled transportation between the airport and the city.
Wabush Airport – IATA Code – YWK
Wabush or Labrador Airport is located in west Labrador, 3 km from Wabush and 4 km from Labrador city. The airlines Pascan Aviation, PAL Airlines, Air Canada Express, Air Inuit operate year round connections to several domestic destinations like e.g. Montreal, St Johns, Quebec city. There is no public ground transportation between the airport and Wabush or Labrador city.
