Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport, also known as Funchal Airport (FNC) is an airport located about 13 km from the city of Funchal, serving the Madeira archipelago. It is the fourth-busiest airport in Portugal handling approximately 3 million passengers per year. The airport serves as a hub for TAP Air Portugal and generally offers flights to numerous metropolitan destinations in Europe.
How to get from Madeira Airport to Funchal
Airport shuttle
There is a shuttle service Aerobus which operates from the airport to Funchal. The final stop is Formosa Beach. From the beach, you can continue with public transport to the centre of Funchal which is about 15 minutes away.

- NOTE: Bus driver will wait for the passengers with a delayed flight for up to 1 hour.
City bus
