Skopje Airport, also known as Skopje ‘’Alexander the Great’’ Airport is one of the two largest and busiest international airports in the Republic of North Macedonia (the other one being Ohrid Airport).
It is located 17 kilometers (11 miles) southeast of the national capital Skopje, in the Municipality of Petrovec.
The airport has been owned by TAV Airports since 2010 which increased its capacity and overall quality. Skopje Airport serves as a hub for a low-cost airline Wizz Air.
The record year was 2019 when the airport served more than 2 million passengers.

How to get from Skopje Airport to Skopje
Airport Shuttle
- Manora Group is the new bus carrier which operates on route between Skopje Airport and Skopje
- The price for a one-way ticket is around 3€ (180 MKD) which can be found at their stand in the airport, at the exit gate. Alternatively, you can also buy ticket from the bus driver.

Taxi
Taxi service may be great for those who prefer a more relaxed and comfortable type of transfer. There is a TAV Airport taxi company which is regulated by the price list exhibited at the exit of the airport and in each taxi separately. The price for Skopje is 1220 MKD (20 €)
The company’s vehicles are parked at the exit of the airport 24/7 and are easily recognized by their white color and a yellow taxi sign numbered from 1 to 65. You can also pre-book a taxi from the city to the airport.

The latest shuttle bus departs at 20:30 but if you arrive later, the first-morning shuttle departs at 00:30 or 01:00 or you can simply take an airport taxi which is available 24/7. The price of the shuttle bus is 180 MKD (3 €) and 1220 MKD (20 €) for a taxi.
No, there are no hotels very close to the airport. First hotels start at the distance of 6-7 kilometers. There are several apartments and a motel 3 kilometers from the airport, so the transfer is recommended.
Yes, the airport is only 17 kilometers away from the city, so it will take you approximately 30 minutes to reach the center. The shuttle bus departs every two hours and there is always an option to take a taxi. Luggage storage and lockers are not available.

Hi! Upper on this page is said that airport shuttle bus departs only once in every two hours, is this correct?? Which at least to me sounds a very long delay/break between two buses…
Í´m asking and wondering this because Wizzair´s flight from Skopje´s airport back to Turku, Finland is leaving already on 6am. So one should be there in your airport Latest on 5 am, so is it 100% sure one can reach there By bus in time on that early Morning? If so, what time that shuttle bus is leaving from Skopje´s bus station (and from which platform)?
If I get good, Correct answers for these my questions I would then dare to reservate asap a flight to there for next autumn (Wizzair is starting them Turku-Skopje flights on this summer 2019, Great! :)).

But the timetable doesn’t say when the last bus LEAVES the airport and goes to the city. Somewhere in the article it mentions the last bus at 20:30, but again, I can’t find a schedule of the shuttle from the airport to the city. Can you please direct me to this timetable?
