Help with border crossings....They did not drop me off at the bus station in Tirana, Albania. I was dropped off on the side of a road. It then took me awhile to find an ATM so that I could pay for a taxi.
Gets you from A to B with comfortable seats
The seats are very comfortable and reclining. There are bins for rubbish so it isn’t littering the floor.
The tickets are super cheap and this is a perfectly fine way to travel if you are on a budget and you have realistic expectations....This is very much a ‘local’ bus service for Macedonians travelling to and from Croatia. As such, the driver speaks Macedonian, not English. There are not toilets on the bus, and the stop offs will be pretty gross. You are not going to have your hand held to your hotel. The bus will definitely be hours late. If you are expecting five star treatment, opt for a more expensive option. If you are open minded and happy to go along for the ride if it means you save some money, this is a great option. If you can, befriend some of the Macedonian travellers waiting at your bus stop - then you have a translator if you need one.
Bus was a few hours late due to border crossing (they emailed us to inform us of this) but overall it was a good bus ride. It was overnight so the temperature wasn’t bad however there was no air conditioning just small fans....Our stop wasn’t on the list at the front of the bus so we weren’t sure it was the right one but they reassured us it was!
