GetBy's Refer and Ride General Terms

Definitions

Throughout this document, the following definitions apply:

"The Referrer" refers to a user of the GetBy service who shares their unique discount code to invite new GetBy mobile users.

"The Referee" refers to a person who is invited to use the GetBy mobile application using the Referr’s discount code.

“Discount code” is a voucher code shared by the Referrer that can be used for a €5 discount of up to 5 different referees if the conditions are met.

How to Earn as a Referrer

In the GetBy Refer & Ride program, referrers can earn rewards by sharing their unique discount codes with referees. Here’s how the process works:

• Discount Code Sharing: Each referrer is assigned a unique discount code that can be activated by up to five referees. This code allows referees to receive discounts on their purchases within the GetBy app.

• Earnings per Booking: Referrers earn a €5 voucher every time a referee successfully completes a booking using their discount code. This voucher is a one-time reward for each booking made by a referee. A maximum of €25 can be earned as a Referrer inside GetBy’s Refer & Ride.

• Voucher Validity: The earned vouchers are valid for six months from the date of creation and are non-refundable. They will appear in the referrer’s "My Vouchers" section within the app.

• Limitations: If a user has already used a voucher or made a purchase through the app, they cannot use another discount code. Additionally, if a user has participated as a referrer before, they cannot utilize other referrer's codes.

How to Earn as a Referee

Referees can benefit from the GetBy Refer & Ride program by using the discount codes provided by their referrers. Here’s what referees need to know:

• Using Discount Codes: Referees must apply the discount code shared by their referrer when making their first purchase in the GetBy app. Each code is valid for five uses only.

• Program Duration: The discount codes are active exclusively from December 21, 2024, to March 20, 2025. Any purchases made after this period will not be eligible for discounts through these codes.

• Refund Policy: If a ticket purchased with a Refer & Ride discount code is refunded, the amount paid using the discount cannot be refunded.

• Eligibility Restrictions: Users who have already used one referee's voucher or made any purchase in the app will find that any subsequent vouchers are invalid. Additionally, if they have participated as a referrer, they cannot redeem other referrers' codes.

Both the Referrer Discount Codes and Vouchers earned through GetBy’s Refer & Ride can not be exchanged for money, and can not be used to pay prior purchases.



Multiple Referrals

A Referee may only use one Referrer discount code. If a Referee receives discount code from multiple Referrers, only the corresponding Referrer used by the Referred for their first purchase via the GetBy app will be eligible for a discount inside the Refer & Ride program.

Sharing the referrer discount codes

Referrer’s discount codes and invites should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes and should only be shared with personal connections who would appreciate receiving these invitations. Referrer discount codes should not be published or distributed where there is no reasonable basis for believing that all or most of the recipients are personal friends; for example, on coupon Websites or with services such as Wikipedia. Referrers are prohibited from spamming anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute a Referrer discount code. Referrers are prohibited from paying to advertise their discount codes.

Severability

If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, non-binding, or unenforceable, such provision or the part of it that is making it invalid, non-binding or unenforceable, will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Termination and Changes

GetByBus may suspend or terminate the Refer & Ride program or a user’s ability to participate in the Refer & Ride at any time and for any reason.

We reserve the right to suspend participation or eligibility to receive Refer & Ride vouchers if we have reasons to believe that participants are acting in a disingenuous, abusive, or fraudulent manner of if said participants are in violation of the General Conditions for GetByBus and/or these Refer & Ride General Terms. We reserve the right to review and investigate all Refer & Ride activity and to suspend participation or modify referrals at our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate. Refer & Ride vouchers earned through fraudulent activities or activities in violation of the General Conditions for GetByBus will be null and void and repayment may be requested by GetByBus.

We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these Terms, we will post the modification on GetByBus website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Refer & Ride after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.

The scope, variety, and type of services and products you may obtain by redeeming Refer & Ride voucher amount can change at any time.

A referral’s local currency equivalent voucher and/or discount amount will be calculated using a system-wide rate, known as the base exchange rate. This rate is used for currency conversion using data from one or more third parties. We regularly update the base exchange rate, it may not, however, be identical to the real-time market rate.

Program Duration

GetBy’s Refer & Ride starts on December 21, 2024 and ends on March 20, 2025.
