Prague – Bratislava

Between the Czech Capital Prague and Bratislava in Slovakia, there are plenty of daily direct buses, including early morning and late night departures. The travel route which most buses follow is around 330 km, which equals a bus driving time of around 4 hours and 30 minutes NOTE: Currently there are lots of road construction on the highway between the two capitals, which means delays occur on heavy traffic days, once they are finished with repairing the road the fastest buses will probably do the tour in less than 4 hours.

When you are travelling from Prague to Bratislava you will find majority of buses departure from the Florenc bus station, how to get to that one you can see here. Other buses departure in front of the main trains station, and some can be boarded at both location, important is that you pay attention to this when booking a ticket.

When travelling from Bratislava to Prague, you will have to catch you bus at the main bus station, which is located at the Mlynské nivy, which is about 2 km from the centre of town, as most city buses lines stops by the bus station, you should be able to get to the station quite easily. NOTE: The main bus station in Bratislava is quite big so make sure to arrive in do time so that you have time to find your bus.

None of the direct bus travel to/ from Prague airport or Bratislava airport in either case you will have to arrange that part of your trip separately.

When travelling by bus from Prague to Bratislava or the opposite direction, you will cross the boarder between Czech Republic and Slovakia, so make sure you have all necessary travel document with you.
