Paris Orly Airport FAQs

I arrive late at the airport. Will it be a problem for me to get to the city?

No, the airport has a wide range of connections, both by bus and metro, to the city centre. But, in case you miss them all, you will find many taxis waiting at the airport in the arrival area without too much trouble

I would like to spend one day in Paris in between flights. Is that possible?

Yes, of course. The best way to do so is to choose one of the means of public transportation to avoid high taxi prices. If you don’t want to carry your luggage with you, you can easily leave it at the airport since there is baggage storage in terminal Sud public area near Gate G departures hall. Bagages du Monde will ship, store (short term or long term) or wrap your luggage.

I am continuing my journey outside Paris. Are there any direct lines from the airport to other cities?

Unfortunately there is neither intercity buses nor intercity trains directly from the airport, if you are looking to travel e.g from Paris to Lille, Paris to Lyon or from Paris to Brussels, you will have to travel from the airport to one of the major bus or train stations in Paris to continue your travel towards other domestic and international destinations.

Can I exchange the money at the airport to pay for my transfer?

Yes, there are several exchange offices and ATMs at the airport, working 24/7, but it would be better to exchange the money before the trip and have some euros on you since the rate will be a lot higher on the spot and no currency other than euro is accepted.
