Holiday bus Zagreb – Rab
During high summer season (July and August) there are several daily buses between Zagreb and Rab island, but as of May 1st, we now have a route available which operates till the end of September. This makes it a lot easier to get to the island in the shoulder season. The new line to Island Rab is operated by the company AP Varaždin; the bus line of course operated in both directions.
Before reaching Island Rab the bus also stops in the following cities; Crikvenica, Selce, Novi Vinodolski. On Island Rab the bus stops in towns Barbat and Rab. The bus line also includes a 35 minute ferry trip from Stinica – Misnjak which by the way is a quite beautiful sailing trip. The ticket for the ferry crossing is of course included in the bus ticket price.
The departure from Zagreb main bus station is at 08:30, arrival time in Rab is at 13:15. The bus in the opposite direction departs at 16:40 from Rab and arrives at 21:35 in Zagreb. Use the search form above to find the arrival time when travelling e.g from Zagreb to Crikvenica or Zagreb to Barbat.
Ticket prices
Taking the bus from Zagreb to Rab, is probably on of the most inexpensive ways of travelling this route, a one way ticket from Zagreb to Rab costs 27 €, return ticket costs 41 €, discounts apply on children’s ticket. And as mentioned the price include the ferry ticket between mainland and Rab Island.

In Barbat the bus stop is located on the main road, close to the school, but as the city is quite long stretched you might be able to get the driver to drop you off at another location. The same applies for Banjol which is not an official stop on this route, but as the bus passes by on the main road, asking the driver can’t harm.
In Town Rab, the bus will end the trip at the bus station which is located in the centre of town about 600 metre from the old town in Rab.
