Cardiff Airport (CWL), also known as Maes Awyr Caerdydd in Welsh, is an international airport serving Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. The airport is the busiest one in Wales with more than 1.5 million passengers per year. There are several airlines serving the airport, including Wizz Air and TUI Airways. The airport is located about 17 km from the city centre of Cardiff offering several ways of transport to and from.

How to get from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff

Bus

There is a direct bus service T9 operating from the airport to Cardiff Bay and Cardiff City Centre. Buses operate every 20 minutes during the day and every hour during the night.

NOTE: If travelling to Cardiff soon, check if T9 service is suspended due to COVID-19.

The other option is a direct shuttle bus 905 which operates between the airport and Rhoose Railway Station. Buses depart every hour from Monday to Saturday and every two hours on Sundays. 

If travelling outside Cardiff, bus service 303 operates between the airport and cities of Bridgend and Barry
