Bus Zurich Split

Year around there is a direct bus between Zurich and Split, the bus route is a co-operation between Eggmann Frey and Mesic Reisen, Autotrans, Croatia bus,, drives four times a week in each direction.

Twice a week it is possible to travel from Geneve, Lausanne, Bern or Basel, with a bus change in Zurich, the other two days, you can travel from Bern or Basel. After Zurich the bus also can be boarded in Luzerne and Bellinzona (On highway gas station). In Croatia the bus has it first stop in Rijeka, from there on it follows the Quarner coast and stops in Crikvenica, Novi Vinodolski and Senj, before heading back to the highway to countinue Zadar, Sibenik and it final destination Split. When you travel from Split to Zurich on one of the other swiss cities the route is the opposite.

As mentioned above the route is operated in co-operation between more bus companies, which means the you will have to look for a bus with the logo of one of the four above mentioned bus companies.

The departure stations of the bus in the swiss cities as well in the Croatian cities, is printed on ticket, if you use the station locator on Getbybus you can also find the exact GPS location of the departure location.

Is there any alternative to the direct bus?

Yes there is, every day you have at least one departure between Zurich and Zagreb, from there on you have bus connection to all cities in Croatia. From a price perspective there should not be much differnce, but depending on where you are go to in Croatia, the latter option might be faster.

Price of ticket between Zurich and Split?

The price of a one way adult ticket i about 145 CHF, return ticket price is about 210 CHF, discounted ticket are avalible for Children, Pensioneers and students. At some travel days, special online discounts apply, if you buy your ticket several days up front, so make sure to check alternative travel dates.
