Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport, officially named Aeroparque Jorge  Newbery or Jorge Newbery Airfield is one of the three airports serving the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina. It is located along the Río de la Plata, in the Palermo neighbourhood, 13 km northeast of the Buenos Aires city center. It serves as the main hub for domestic flights in Argentina and for some regional flights to neighboring countries (Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia and Peru).

How to get from Jorge Newbery Airport to Buenos Aires

The distance between AEP and the Buenos Aires city centre is about 13 km which is a 15-minute car ride. Find out all the ways of getting to and from the airport in the text below.


The bus is the most economical means of transport available. To reach the city centre take bus lines 45 and 33 Buenos Aires downtown (Microcentro) and some other areas. The stops are in front sectors A and B. Buses operate every 10 minutes. 

To board the buses, passengers need a SUBE card (which you then need to activate) which can be purchased from the Open25 convenience store that you can find in the international arrivals area, but also throughout the terminal.

Arbus, a bus that offers convenient services to all Buenos Aires airports, can take you to Ezeiza Airport and it costs 150 pesos. It operates hourly from 4:00 am to 9:30 pm.
