Santander Airport FAQs

I arrive late at the airport. Will it be a problem for me to get to the city?

Even though the bus line is frequent during the day, the last one departs at 23:00, which is still early, so you should probably get yourself a taxi.

I have an early morning departure from the airport, are there any airport hotels I can stay at?

Unfortunately there are no nearby hotels, but the closest hotel is 4 kilometres from the airport: Hotel Las Anclas (2*)  – offers free Wi-Fi and breakfast.

I would like to spend one day in Santander in between flights. Is that possible?

Sure thing. The best option is taking the local bus which will take you directly from the airport to the main bus station. There are no luggage storage facilities at the airport, but you can deposit your luggage at the bus station.

Can I exchange money at the airport to pay for my transfer?

Yes, there are a couple ATMs located at first floor/check hall (Caja Cantabria, Santander). The airport does not have an exchange office, but there is a bank so try changing your money there.
