Airport bus Lleida

Lleida–Alguaire Airport (ILD) is an airport located in Alguaire, Catalonia, Spain, only 15 km from the centre of Lleida and about 149 km from Barcelona. Lleida–Alguaire has been constructed to serve as a regional airport providing both passenger and cargo transport to Western Catalonia. The airport annually has around 60 000 passengers and routes to Palma de Mallorca and Tel Aviv which are regular, and some seasonal like London, Birmingham and Belfast.

Airport bus shuttle: Since the airport itself is not a very busy one, there are not many options of getting to Lleida centre but we managed to find a few. The bus service ATM introduced a Lleida-Lleida Alguaire airport bus line:

  • The buses run 4 times on Friday and 4 times on Saturday (to and from the airport)
  • The buses depart from the airport at 18:30 and 21:25, and stops at Renfe railway station before getting to the bus station
  • The journey to the bus station takes approx. 40 mins.
  • The price of a single ticket is 2.45€

Taxi service: Considering the fact that the bus runs only eight times a week, getting yourself an official airport taxi is your second option. Just make sure the taximeter is running so you don’t get overcharged.

Transfer: If you are not comfortable with regular taxis, maybe you should book a door-to-door transfer which will take you directly to your accommodation. Book your transfer on time to avoid waiting when you arrive at the airport.

Renting a car at Lleida airport: This is probably the best option of all above mentioned. Lleida is not that big city, but it is relatively close to Barcelona, so you could visit it yourself. At Lleida-Alguaire Airport there is only Europcar rental company, but you can always book a car online.

Renting a bus at Lleida airport: A coach or a minibus is probably the most convenient option if you’re visiting the region in a larger group. Book your bus in advance so the bus rental company can organize the meeting and pick-up points.

I arrive late at the airport. Will it be a problem for me to get to the city?

I have an early morning departure from the airport, are there any airport hotels I can stay at?

Unfortunately, there are no hotels in the proximity of  Lleida Airport. To stay overnight, you should first reach the city centre. It will be tricky, but you can always rely on taxis.

I am continuing my journey outside Lleida. Are there any direct lines from the airport to other cities?

Directly from the airport, you can get only to Barcelona and that is on above mentioned days. Alternatively, first, reach the bus station in Lleida and from there take a bus to most Spanish cities.
