Kiev Boryspil Airport Bus

Boryspil International Airport (KBP) is the main international airport in Ukraine and it serves the majority of passengers in the country, both intercontinental and international flights. The airport is located in Boryspil, 29 kilometres east of Kiev centre. There’s also another airport serving Kiev, Zhulyany Airport, though with significantly smaller number of passengers per year. Boryspil International Airport currently has two passenger terminals B and D, one cargo terminal (F) and a VIP terminal.

How to get from Kiev Boryspil Airport to Kiev

Airport bus

Transportation to and from Boryspil Airport is operated by Sky Bus company. Buses are in accordance with flights regardless of season or whether it is day or night.

  • Buses connect Boryspil Airport with bus stop “Metro Kharkivska” and Kiev Passazhirskiy Railway Station (South Terminal)
  • Buses depart approximately every 15 minutes during the day and approximately every 30 to 45 minutes during the night.
  • You will find the airport bus stop in front of Terminal D and B, depending on where your plane lands
  • You will notice Sky Bus buses by their purple colour.
  • Bus ticket to Kharkhivska costs 63.6 UAH and to Kiev Passazhirskiy Railway Station costs 106 UAH

NOTE: The currency used in Ukraine is Ukrainian hryvnia (₴) and ₴100 is equal to approximately €3.

Taxi service

You can find official airport taxis waiting outside terminals B and D. Boryspil Airport taxis have the possibility of paying by credit cards (Visa, Maestro, Mastercard) so you don’t have to worry whether you will have enough cash or not. The average taxi fare to Kiev city centre is ₴327-491 (€10-15)

Transfer

Another way to reach the city center is by booking a  private, door-to-door transfer from Kiev Boryspil Airport to your accommodation. The price will always be fixed and your driver will wait for you outside the terminal building upon your flight arrival.

Renting a car at Boryspil Airport

There are several international car rental companies at Boryspil Airport, such as Europcar, Sixt, Hertz and Avis. However, bear in mind that renting a car might cost you more as some companies may charge additional fee because you rent at the airport. To avoid this, we recommend booking a car online.

Direct routes from Kiev Boryspil Airport

From KBP to Kharkiv

Several buses depart during the day from Kiev Airport to the city of Kharkiv. There are few bus companies which operate buses on this route and the price is more or less the same. One-way ticket costs around €12. Travel time is approximately 7 hours.

From KBP to Odessa

If you want to travel to Odessa, you can find direct buses on airport bus parking. The price of a single ticket is between €16 and €20, depending on the time of departure.

Accommodation near Kiev Boryspil Airport

The closest airport hotel is located between terminal B and D and it is called Hotel Boryspil***. The airport offers free transfer from the airport and free Wi-Fi.

If looking for a quick and simple way to take a nap there is also an airport capsule hotel on offer with 40 single and 16 double beds on the second floor of Terminal D.

I arrive late at the airport. Will it be a problem for me to get to the city?

Not at all because all bus departures are in accordance with flight arrivals. They usually depart every half hour during the night.

Is there free WiFi connection at Kiev Boryspil Airport?

The airport provides free WiFi Internet connection to all passengers on the territory of Terminal D, lasting for 30 minutes after the authorization.

I am continuing my journey outside Kiev. Are there any direct lines to other destinations?

As stated above, there are few bus companies which have lines to Odessa and Kharkiv. To travel to other cities we advise to reach the central station in Kiev centre first.

Can I exchange money at the airport to pay for my transfer?

There are several ATMs, bank and money exchange offices at Terminal D.
