Aliante Airport FAQs

I arrive late at the airport. Will it be a problem for me to get to the city?

It won’t be a problem since the local bus lines 1A, 1B and 6 operate regularly every 20-30 minutes to Alicante/Elche. But in case you miss them all, you can always be sure that taxis will wait outside the airport.

I have an early morning departure from the airport, are there any airport hotels I can stay at?

The closest hotel is ~3 kilometres from the airport: Hotel Areca Alicante-Elche (4*) offers free Wi-Fi and parking; laundry service.

I would like to spend one day in Alicante in between flights. Is this possible?

Of course. The best way to do that is to take the local bus which will take you directly from the airport to the bus station located in the centre. Unfortunately, there are no luggage storage facilities at the airport, however, the bus station has luggage lockers (3.20€ for normal, 4.70€ for large).

I am continuing my journey outside Alicante. Are there any bus lines from the airport to other cities?

If you wish to visit other, major cities, check the popular routes like Alicante – Murcia or Alicante – Seville. You can see other routes from Alicante on getbybus.com.

Can I exchange money at the airport to pay for my transfer?

Yes, there are several ATMs located at level 2 of the passenger terminal. You can find an exchange office on the ground floor, but we advise having euros on you before your flight.
